What parts which water will come in contact with are plastic? Is it quiet? Does the entire outside of the kettle stay cool?

There is one piece inside the spout that is plastic. It holds a mesh filter that keeps particles from the pot (for example if you are brewing tea inside it) from pouring out. It is quiet except for the initial boil, when it beeps when it is done. The "keep-warm" function isn't especially noisy, it just sounds like water boiling for a short period of time. The outside of the kettle does NOT stay cool. While it is keeping water hot on the inside, it is hot on the outside. The handle, however, is not hot.

Q: What is a cordless electric kettle, and why choose one for tea?

A cordless electric kettle heats water on its base, then lifts off so you can pour without a cord attached. That freedom makes it easier to serve at the counter or table, especially when you are making multiple cups of tea.

Q: How do the 6 preset temperatures help with different teas?

The electric kettle offers preset heat settings for delicate, green, white, oolong, herbal and black tea. Using a preset helps you match the water temperature to the style of tea you are steeping, so you can brew with more consistency.

Q: Can I use the electric kettle for French press coffee?

Yes. This electric kettle includes a preset setting intended for brewing French press coffee, so you can heat water to that target without guessing.

Q: What does the 30-minute Keep Warm function do?

Keep Warm holds hot water for up to 30 minutes after heating. It is a handy way to stay ready for a second cup without starting a new heat cycle.

Q: Is the handle comfortable and safe for pouring?

The kettle is designed with a stay-cool, nonslip handle for a secure grip. That added traction helps you pour with control, even when the kettle is full.

Q: How much water does the cordless electric kettle hold?

The cordless electric kettle has a 1.7-liter capacity. It is a helpful size for everyday hot drinks, from a couple of mugs of tea to water for a French press.
