Siafu Nyota Placemats, Set of 4

Hand-spun placemats are great for everyday place settings when you want added texture and a more finished look without feeling formal. They also work well for casual entertaining, helping define each setting and bring warmth to the table.

You will receive a set of four placemats. They are designed to coordinate together for an easy, pulled-together table.

Siafu Home sources the pure, organic materials from Uganda. The placemats are then hand-spun on traditional looms as part of their production process.

For the best results, follow the care instructions on the product label and treat spills sooner rather than later. If you are laundering them, keep in mind that natural, handmade textiles can vary, so gentle handling helps maintain their look over time.

For everyday, pair them with simple dinnerware and a folded napkin to highlight the placemat’s woven texture. For guests, layer in coordinating napkins, glassware and a low centerpiece so the natural tones can anchor the whole tablescape.

Siafu Home makes table and home goods that showcase the work of women artisans across Africa. Founded in 2019, the brand name comes from the Swahili word for “ant,” a tribute to community strength and shared effort.
