Staub Essential French Oven, 5 qt. in Graphite

An enameled cast iron French oven is ideal for recipes that start with high-heat browning and finish with longer, covered cooking. Use it for searing meats, building sauces, then slow-cooking dishes like pot roast, lamb, soups and stews.

The lid is designed to seal in moisture, which helps keep foods tender as they cook. That sealed environment also helps lock in the flavors you build during searing and simmering.

Staub’s enameled cast iron is crafted to distribute and retain heat evenly, which supports consistent browning and steady cooking. That even heat helps you develop flavor on the front end, then gently cook foods through.

Yes. The enameled cast iron French oven is designed to handle searing, then covered cooking in the same pot so you can keep the browned bits and built-up flavor right where you want them.

A 5-quart French oven gives you room for a hearty batch of soup or stew and it is also well suited to braised meats like pot roast or slow-roasted lamb. It is a versatile size for weeknight cooking and weekend projects alike.
