Sur La Table Stainless Steel Pastry Brush, 9"

A stainless steel pastry brush is made for brushing and basting tasks across both sweet and savory cooking. Use it to baste poultry as it roasts or to brush pastries with butter or glaze before baking. It is a simple tool that helps you apply an even coating with more control than a spoon.

Yes, the stainless steel pastry brush has a dishwasher-safe design for easy cleaning. If you have sticky glaze or sauce on it, a quick rinse first can help keep cleanup even simpler.

The stainless steel handle is designed to feel comfortable and easy to grip, which is especially helpful when you are brushing a delicate pastry surface or basting over a hot pan. A steady hold also makes it easier to apply your coating where you want it, without overdoing it.

Use a light touch and brush in one direction, starting in the center and moving outward so you do not drag the surface. For delicate dough, applying a thin, even layer works better than pressing harder to move more liquid at once.

Rinse it right after use so sauces do not dry on, then wash before switching to a new flavor profile. Since it is dishwasher safe, you can also run it through the dishwasher between baking and roasting days for a fresh start.
