- ¾ oz. grapefruit juice
- 1 oz. honey syrup (1 part honey dissolved in 1 part warm water; let cool)
- Club soda
Once a common sight in tiki bars across the country, the distinctive ice-cone garnish of legendary barman Donn Beach’s Navy Grog cools both the cocktail and the straw through which it is sipped for an icy, refreshing drink. Now you can recreate this faux-Polynesian punch at home with Cocktail Kingdom’s Navy Grog Ice Cone Kit. Grab your ukulele. You’ll want to sing out loud after one sip of this tropical-inspired drink, created by legendary barman Donn Beach.
Shake rums, juices and syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice until thoroughly chilled. Strain into a large double-old-fashioned glass (or, if you’re lucky enough to have one, a vintage tiki mug) prepared with an ice cone. Top with soda and garnish with the fruits of your choosing (a pineapple wedge and an orchid add a serious tropical touch).
